In April 2011, new adult fitness equipment was launched on Send recreation ground. You can see a demonstration of how the equipment can be used via this link.
The recreation ground also houses a tennis court, a ball court, multi-play equipment for younger children and a climbing wall and other equipment for teenagers. There is a public toilet, suitable for wheelchair users and with baby changing facilities.
There is another playground for Send Marsh children in Maple Road; and in February 2013, a small playground for younger children opened at Sandfields.
